APS Bank has announced a new partnership with HSF Health Plan (Malta), a provider of health cash plans that reimburse everyday healthcare expenses. This collaboration reinforces APS Bank’s commitment to employee wellbeing. Members of the APS Occupational Pension Scheme, a second pillar pension arrangement that allows companies and organisations to set-up retirement benefits for their employees, will now benefit from access to an annual dental check-up or eye vision test.
This targeted additional benefit provides members with essential preventative care, while helping to reduce out-of-pocket health costs. These practical steps towards supporting overall wellbeing through early detection and regular check-ups are provided free of charge, alongside the retirement benefits of the APS Occupational Pension Scheme. As members of the pension scheme, APS Bank employees will also benefit from these valuable additional benefits.
“We are proud to be collaborating with HSF as our partner for providing all members of the APS Occupational Pension Scheme with free access to an annual eye test or dental check-up,” said Mark Lamb, Corporate Schemes Manager at APS Bank. “Around half of sight loss within the population is avoidable through early detection, while the perceived cost of visiting a dentist is surely one of the reasons why people are putting this off. Employers who set-up an APS Occupational Pension Holders Scheme for their staff are truly investing in their future.”
This partnership marks another step in the growing momentum HSF Health Plan (Malta) is seeing across the local market. Earlier this year, the Foundation for Human Resources Development (FHRD) also joined HSF Health Plan (Malta) as a partner, launching a tailored health plan for its professional HR members.
“We are proud to partner with HSF Health Plan (Malta) to bring meaningful health and wellness solutions to our Professional HR Members,” said Karen Muscat Baldacchino, CEO of FHRD. “At FHRD, we recognise that HR professionals play a vital role in supporting the well-being of others, but their own health and peace of mind are equally important. This collaboration reflects our ongoing commitment to empowering our members not just professionally, but personally. Together with HSF Health Plan, we’re ensuring that those who care for others are also cared for.”
HSF Health Plan (Malta) is the local trading arm of the Hospital Saturday Fund, a UK and Ireland-based charity that reinvests 100% of surplus income into health-related causes. This means that each corporate partnership delivers value to employees while supporting charitable causes that make a difference across Malta.
As the world of work continues to evolve, organisations like APS Bank and FHRD are showing that long-term resilience starts with care – for health, for people, and for the communities they serve.
Ray Micallef, General Manager & Executive Director at HSF Health Plan (Malta), added: “With each new partnership, we’re seeing a stronger shift towards purposeful benefits that care for people inside and outside the workplace. We’re delighted to welcome APS Bank and FHRD on board and look forward to supporting their team’s wellbeing journey.”
This collaboration further positions HSF Health Plan (Malta) as a growing force in employee health solutions, offering companies a benefits platform that is both practical and philanthropic.
