HSF health plan (Malta) and The Hospital Saturday Fund
Before launching the health plan in Malta, HSF health plan has been operating in the UK since 1873 and in Ireland since 1949.
HSF health plan delivers medical cover and additional wellbeing benefits to companies and individuals in the UK and Ireland. It is the trading arm of the charity, The Hospital Saturday Fund.
Profits from HSF health plan are used by our charity to provide assistance for registered health charities, hospices, medical organisations and individuals with a medical condition or disability.
Founded in 1873 by philanthropist 12th Earl of Meath Reginald Brabazon, The Hospital Saturday Fund was established as a means of providing much-need contributions to voluntary hospitals.
It allowed working men the opportunity to pay a small weekly sum on the day they were paid, Saturday, and covered them if they then needed to go into hospital. It was therefore named The Hospital Saturday Fund.

Through our charity, the profits from HSF health plan are distributed to medically associated charities and individuals.
All those who join HSF health plan, just by belonging, are making a contribution to the important work of the charity, not something which usually happens when an insurance policy is taken out.Paul JacksonGroup Chief Executive, The Hospital Saturday Fund
